Replacement Schedule at a Glance

The lithium manganese dioxide battery typically lasts four years in AED standby mode and works in the OnSite, FRx, and Home. The electrode pads should be replaced every two years if they haven't been used, and after every use. Each cartridge contains one set of pads with the Philips pull handle built in, rated for adults and children 8 years or older or 55 lbs and up. Just snap the new cartridge into the HeartStart OnSite AED, and it's ready to rescue. These pads do not fit the FRx, which uses FRx SMART Pads II.
