Soapbox believes that giving back should be easy, which is why for every purchase, a bar of soap is donated through their charity affiliations around the world. As part of the company’s mission in the United States, Soapbox works with Clean the World Foundation (CTWF) to produce safety-certified, eco-friendly soap bars from scrap soap. This soap is provided to homeless shelters, food pantries, schools, and health clinics across the country. In all, Soapbox has donated more than 20,000,000 bars of soap to those in need, promoting healthy hygiene and lifting spirits, too.
Beyond their mission to donate soap to those in need, Soapbox also has an eco-conscious approach, focusing on reducing waste and their carbon footprint, as reflected in their amenities packaging.

What does it mean that Soapbox is “natural”? add
All Soapbox ingredients are naturally derived. This means they come from nature, not a lab! They use things like organic fair trade shea butter, coconut, and olive oil. They also only ever use phthalate-free fragrances to make sure that your skin is taken care of just like your purchases take care of other people in the world!
Are Soapbox soaps free of parabens? add
They refuse to add parabens, or a class of chemicals widely used as preservatives in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries, in all of their soaps.
Do Soapbox soaps contain lye? add
All soap, including Soapbox’s products, are made using lye. In a properly produced soap, lye is a raw ingredient used to make the soap, but the lye doesn't exist in the final product. Think of lye like the ingredients that go into a cake. The sugar and eggs that you don't want to eat are a part of creating a delicious treat. The same happens with lye through the saponification process.
Does Soapbox soap contain glycerin? add
Glycerin is a natural part of the vegetable oils they use to make their herbal soap, so it is a natural part of all Soapbox Soap. Glycerin soap is gentler on the skin than most soaps, making it a good choice for people who have particularly dry or sensitive skin.
Do Soapbox products contain any palm oil? add
Because of these ethical concerns, Soapbox Soaps has decided to only use sustainably sourced palm oil.
Are Soapbox products gluten-free? add
Soapbox soap is completely free of ingredients derived from gluten-rich cereals including wheat, kamut, spelt, barley, rye, malts, and triticale.
Is Soapbox packaging recyclable? add
Yes, all of the packaging of Soapbox bottled products, including shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and body wash, is 100% recyclable and they work with How2Recycle to put instructions for recycling on all bottles.
Are Soapbox products tested on animals? add
Soapbox Soaps have been certified by PETA as cruelty-free and vegan-friendly. Rest assured that all Soapbox Soaps are safe for human use because the product is solely tested by your fellow man.
