To address these issues, electrostatic sprayers electrically charge the particles of the disinfectant they spray. This process involves positively charging the particles, causing them to repel each other. As you may recall from high school science class, “like” charges repel, while opposite charges attract. A grounded surface, such as the various surfaces found in high-traffic areas that need disinfecting, represents a great big negative charge. Positively charged particles of disinfectant are attracted to these surfaces, causing them to stick. The electrostatically charged particles of disinfectant push each other away, resulting in atomization and ensuring even coverage over the surface being sprayed.

PURTABS are effervescent sanitizing and disinfecting tablets that have been approved, certified, and proven to achieve repeatable results, based on application and dwell times.

For instance, while disinfecting food-contact surfaces, 100PPM of PURTAB multi-purpose solution is sufficient. However, to kill cold and flu viruses, salmonella, and staph bacteria, among others, you need hospital-grade disinfectant that requires 5 times that PPM. Certain bloodborne pathogens require even higher than 1,000PPM, whereas a solution of 1076PPM is recommended for COVID-19.
