What’s the right way to use a wipe? add

Always follow the directions on the package. As a general rule of thumb: when you are cleaning a surface, simply take a wipe from the wipe dispenser and wipe down the surface you are cleaning, removing any visible soil and/or grime. In order to disinfect the surface, additional wipes should be used to thoroughly wet the surface and the surface should remain wet for the appropriate dwell time as indicated on the wipe label. The surface can be allowed to air dry.

Wipes provide a quick and easy way to clean and disinfect equipment and surfaces after each use. It just takes 15 seconds and the peace of mind is priceless! Your guests and staff are likely to use them if they are available since they themselves are focused on their own wellbeing.

What is a "quat" and does it kill Covid-19? add

Quat refers to quaternary ammonium-based disinfectants. It is widely used in disinfectants that are effective against human coronavirus. Our quat-based Antibacterial Disinfecting Wipes kill SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, in just 30 seconds. It is important to carefully read the label of the product you are using, and not assume any particular efficacy.

What is the difference between cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting? add

Cleaning means to physically remove dirt, germs and debris from a surface – wipes are an excellent way to clean a surface.

Sanitizing means to apply a product that kills 99.9% of the germs identified on the label. Our Sanitizing Wipes and Wellness Center Wipes clean and sanitize.

Disinfecting means to apply a product that kills (or inactivates) germs on surfaces or objects. Choose our Antibacterial Disinfecting Wipes or our Alcohol Wipes to disinfect surfaces.

Do your wipes have an expiration date or shelf life? add

Unopened, our wipes have a shelf life of one year.

What are the types of bacteria and viruses your wipes kill? add

Our Antibacterial Disinfecting Wipes kill SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, in just 30 seconds, and 99.9% of germs and bacteria in just 15 seconds, including MRSA, HIV-1, H1N1, E coli, and much more. Our Sanitizing Wipes also kill 99.9% of germs.

What are disinfectant wipes made of? add

Disinfectant wipes are made of a textile substrate, that is specially textured to help clean surfaces, and this substrate is paired with a disinfectant, either quaternary based or alcohol based, depending on the wipe you choose, to disinfect while they clean.

Do alcohol wipes disinfect? add

Yes, alcohol wipes do disinfect surfaces, as long as you’re using alcohol wipes with 60% or greater alcohol content. Our Alcohol Wipes contain 75% ethyl alcohol. Make sure to follow the directions on the label to ensure that the surface you are disinfecting remains wet from the wipe for the appropriate amount of time in order to fully kill germs and viruses.

What types of surfaces can disinfectant wipes/cleaning wipes be used on? add

Disinfectant wipes and cleaning wipes can and should be used on hard, non-porous surfaces. They’re especially handy for high touch surfaces. Examples of high-touch surfaces include: pens, counters, shopping carts, tables, doorknobs, light switches, handles, stair rails, elevator buttons, desks, keyboards, phones, toilets, faucets, fitness center equipment and sinks.

How is an alcohol-free wipe different from an alcohol-based wipe? add

Alcohol-free (also referred to as BZK) stays on the skin longer than an alcohol-based wipe which evaporates quickly. Alcohol is very flammable; BZK is non-flammable. Alcohol is very drying to the skin which can cause cracks; the more you use it has a stinging effect. Alcohol-free/BZK has emollients which leaves hands dry, non-tacky and soft.

Why does the CDC say to use only alcohol-based products? add

The CDC has only tested alcohol based products in the healthcare setting, therefore they only recommend alcohol-based.
