  1. Great product 5 Star Review

The sandbell is a great product. I purchased the 10lbs and 20lbs version. Basically, it is a heavily stitched stretchy neoprene that you fill sand in. So far, I've been using them for the following exercises:

    1. One-handed throw and catch - I do this to train my grip strength and it really burns my arm

    2. Weighted sit up

    3. Weighted side plank - when doing side planks, I lift the sandbell to form a T.

    4. Slams

    5. Side throws

    6. Additional filler weights for my sandbag exercises

I've been using the sandbells twice a week for about a month already. I personally haven't experience any sand leaking out during my training.

  2. Great Alternative weight training tool 5 Star Review

I own 2 Sandbells and 1 steelbell and I must say these are GREAT Alternative or Compliment tool for your workout gear!!! The shifting of the sand really trigger ALL THE Muscles for a real good workout!!! Highly recommended!!

  3. Amazingly Functional, Well Built 5 Star Review

I found these by accident when looking at other sandbags. I've been using these with clients for about a month now and the main things I'd point out are:

    1. Flexibility. Aside from the obvious functional fitness movements these are super flexible. I use them in place of regular dumbbells all the time.
    2. Durability (apparent). The stitching on these appears as though these will hold up for years. I'd like to write a follow up a year from now and see if that has come to pass.

  4. Sandbells Rock! 5 Star Review

These things are great. Ok face it dumbbells may be the best, but they have their limits. Weighted Bars, Kettlebells, Medicine balls and of course Dumbbells are all great tools and each have their own little speciality but SANDBELLS let you do things none of these other great tools will. The various grip techniques that you can do with Sandbells can never be done with the other tools. For those of us who run a keyboard and mouse for a living hand wrist and grip are very important things, just as they are with many other professions and sports. So Far I have the 2,4,6,8,10,12 and 15lb versions but plan to purchase the heavier ones as well.

For the record roll up the fill spout/neck and tuck it in the cavity where it comes out. This seems to work fine and I have had no spills. It is easy to open them back up and add or subtract more sand. I have used these as a replacement in the same moves I would do with the other tools, and found that I seem to feel more workout in my hands and wrists.

I have also used them on a rebounder and they are good, you do have to try n get em to hit flush and not on the outer seem or they seem to bounce akwardly(not necessarily a bad thing). I prefer these to medicine balls with handles because the grip variations with SandBells are better. I haven't had them all that long yet but they seem durable enough and they are a great addition to my workout tools. The versatility of these SandBells will surely bring a new dimesion to anyones workout routine and they don't hurt if you drop them on your foot.
